Connect and engage with families to promote a positive NICU experience.
The Wellness Network’s years of experience working with clinical teams in the NICU environment has made it possible for us to create a comprehensive NICU solution that provides tools for clinicians to reduce stress and help families understand what’s happening during their stay. The heart of our NICU toolkit includes award-winning, patient-centered videos and print content on topics such as:
Navigating the NICU,
Common tests and procedures,
Transitioning home, and
New baby care and development.
All of our educational resources are compliant with prenatal and postpartum care guidelines issued by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG), and Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), and includes resources from The March of Dimes.
Our education can be delivered on customizable tablets that are compatible with any level of NICU—and even provide games and entertainment. Outside of the NICU, our award-winning online education platform makes it possible for clinicians to organize and assign educational content that families can view on any device, wherever and whenever it’s convenient to them. Finally, we offer waiting room programming that features relaxing and soothing images and music to promote calm and reduce stress.
Our patient education videos help NICU parents and caregivers understand what they can do to stay healthy and reduce the risk of complications throughout their stay and the transition home. We recommend the following HealthClips libraries:
Neonatal Library: Navigating the NICU, family support, coping and emotions, feeding, sleeping, safety, medication conditions, test and treatments, neonatal development – including resources from the March of Dimes and NICU Parent Network!
Quality of Care Library: Patient safety, patient rights, personal medical devices, medical tests and procedures, hospital discharge, medication management, infection control, surgery, pain management, disease and conditions
