New Releases Fall 2020

We are excited to announce the release of new and updated patient education videos to our HealthClips library. Already one of the largest, most comprehensive patient education libraries, we are continuously working to expand and update HealthClips. Currently, we offer programming and education in 25 therapeutic areas, with more than 4,500 individual pieces of content available to our subscribers. Once we’ve decided which therapeutic areas we’ll focus on, every piece of content we create or update goes through a rigorous process that includes extensive research, script writing and validation, at least two layers of clinical review, and final approval. We only introduce new content that clears this extensive quality control.

Our education can be delivered seamlessly across your network, so patients receive standardized patient education whether they are prepping for their procedure, in a patient room, being discharged, or recovering at home.

This launch, we’re excited to announce the following new or updated programming:

  • Ambulatory Care: Now more than ever, being up to date on your immunizations and understanding their importance is critical to protecting one’s health. We’ve updated and expanded these important health messages.
  • Cardiology: Heart patients are often under tremendous stress and anxiety related to their condition. This fall, we’re expanding our Cardiology library with a series of patient videos featuring real patients talking about their experiences with heart attack, heart surgery, and recovery. Watching other patients move through their care journey can help current patients feel more confident about the treatment and better prepared for their recovery.
  • Diabetes: As a core library in chronic disease management, we continue to keep this valuable resource up to date. Several topics including medications, emotions, and sick days and emergencies have also been updated. Having patients know how to express their emotions and find support, as well as being prepared for sick days and emergencies has never been more important.
  • Prenatal & Maternity: Over the last 18 months, we’ve expanded our Prenatal & Maternity library with dozens of new videos and print articles aimed at helping new families navigate pregnancy, delivery, and newborn care. This fall, that expansion continues with new programming on neonatal care, as well as updated and expanded programming on formula preparation and feeding.
  • Quality of Care: Under our patient advocacy topic, we have added new programming on discovering and using a patient portal. Many patients find using their health portal to communicate with their provider and receive important health information very empowering.
  • Wellness: Knowing how to perform certain vital checks at home and report them, when needed, to your healthcare provider are important skills. This fall, we have expanded our self-care topic to include taking your pulse, blood pressure and temperature. Making healthy food choices is also a critical skill. Our MyPlate resources have been updated and expanded this release.
  • Medications: Our Medication library—offered in partnership with VUCA Health—continues to expand to offer comprehensive programming on the medications your patients are prescribed. New additions to this library include programming on antibiotics, oncology, dermatology, and women’s health.
  • Medical Animations: Our Medical Animations are offered through our partnership with ViewMedica. This fall, our animations library is expanding with robust new video content in orthopedics, pulmonology, prenatal and maternity programming.
